Bureau Barbier Bouvet

Bureau Barbier Bouvet is a practice for the fields of design and contemporary art. The Bureau is the conceptual and economical orientation of the personal practice of Stephane Barbier Bouvet. Economy of gesture and means, sustainability and a critical approach are at the centre of the practice. Following the application of our methodology and systems of production to the contemporary art field and collaborations with artists, we are now expanding the practice to the domestic space, industrial production and public commissions. We encourage a democratization of the practice by applying its uncompromising qualities to more available productions. This website is also used as a platform for the distribution of objects developed for previous commissions. They are produced in our manufacture in Brussels, using local material. Maniera in Brussels and Salle Principale in Paris are galeries we work with. Stay for the night at Palama, a refuge overlooking Marseille.

Each piece is made to order. It is individually constructed by hand in our ateliers. We takes great care to insure that every piece of furniture that we sell meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship, sustainability and security.
